Which Yahoo Emoticons Are Right For You?
Many people have Yahoo Instant Messaging and with those programs come a certain amount of Yahoo Emoticons. These preassigned emoticons are very limited. A quick search of the internet turns up thousands of sites to upgrade these emoticons.
To download these emoticons all one needs is a basic understanding of the internet and computers. Select your site, open the page and click the “download” button. At that point you save the file to your desk top as an . Exe file. Then follow the installation instructions.
Yahoo Messenger 9.0 has ninety-five different smileys now. In addition to smileys there are other emoticons; to include animals and people. It seems there are an unlimited variety of meanings and characters, ideally to suit any needs of the writer.
Words are only 7% of communication while body language alone is 55%. So the question is: how much does the words of communication increase when these emoticons are used in the process of communicating? Communication when looking a person in the eye and having a face to face conversation with them still is vastly greater.
When conversing over IM replying with a smiley or emoticon can quicken the pace of the conversation and can be just as clear an answer as a typed message. For example if you want the person to know you love them there is a “heart” emoticon. If used there isn’t really a question as to the intention behind the emoticon.
While Yahoo emoticons may not be right for everyone; they can be very enjoyable to use and quite effective in communicating during your conversations. Give it a try before you disregard the possibility of using them. But don’t assume you know what the sender is intending when sending them your way… Always seek clarification if your not sure.
